DESIGN MY Bulldog secure ALARM
i know what i need, let's order
i have an alarm, i want to expand it

1. you design it

A Bulldog Secure Alarm system is made up of 4 key components:

1. PANEL which is the brains behind the system

2. CONTROL
this is way you switch the alarm on and off such as a key fob or smartphone

3. DETECTORS
to sense when an intruder is in your property

4. ALERT
when the alarm is triggered this will notify you that the alarm has been triggered

We'll explain each for you....

PANEL

The brains of your alarm system is your Bulldog Secure Alarm panel. This sleek, compact and discreet panel can be wall or desk mounted and simply plugs into an electrial socket.... that's it. Your panel is home to an internal siren, internal speaker (for voice commands) and back up battery in case of power failure. No connection to broadband is required as it is pre-installed with a sim card to connect direct to the mobile networks so you can control and monitor your alarm through your smartphone.

TIME TO INSTALL: 60 SECONDS

DETECTORS

All our detectors are wireless, use long life batteries (supplied) and sense when an intruder enters or is in your home. There are 2 main types:

Passive Infra Red (PIR) detects the body heat and movement of an intruder and covers an area of around 12m2. All our PIR's are pet friendly which means that your pet weighing up to 36kg shouldn't trigger the alarm. Our Camera PIR's include cameras so you can view what has triggered your alarm.

PIR's are typically mounted in the corner of a room for best coverage at c. 2m high.

Door Contacts sense when a door is opened.

In addition we also supply smoke and heat detectors and carbon monoxide sensors for a complete security and protection system.

TIME TO INSTALL: BETWEEN 60 SECONDS AND 10 MINUTES EACH

CONTROL & ALERT

You can control your alarm via smartphone app or key fob. We also offer a slimline numeric keypad if required and wireless panic buttons so you can trigger the alarm in an emergency. The smartphone app, also provides a host of other features such as seeing event logs and viewing PIR camera images.

When your alarm is triggered the siren inbuilt into the panel will sound and an alert is sent straight to your phone. You can also choose to have a Bulldog branded external siren.

TIME TO INSTALL: BETWEEN 60 SECONDS AND 60 MINUTES EACH

how many detectors do i need?

Generally, the front door will always have a door contact and where the back door enters a room where there is no PIR, this would also have a door contact.

Rooms such as lounge, dining room and kitchen would have a PIR fitted. A kitchen / diner where the back door leads into this room, would only need a PIR, however for added security a door contact would be used on the door as well.

Design

Starter Kit (Apartment)

If the apartment is ground floor, then in this example put a PIR in the lounge area and bedroom and a door contact on the front door. At night you can set the alarm so the front door and lounge PIR are active, but disable the bedroom PIR.

If it is a first floor apartment, with no external roof adjacent to a window, then a door contact on the front door is main detection required.

For enhanced security add a door contact to the kitchen back door and doors in the lounge. Also if an upstairs window is easily accessible from a flat roof for example, place PIR on the landing.
